I will be straightforward right out of the gate. The following post will be about poetry and poems.

Phew! Quite the relief to get that off my chest. Now, we can proceed as normal. Well, normal being me clacking away on keys and you reading the words. A symbiotic relationship I enjoy.

Back to the main point. In my writing adventures, spanning far and wide, writing poetry arrives in fits and starts. Poems factored heavily in my 20's and 30's, with an occasional poetic outburst since. Rare has been the case when these poems escaped notebooks or word files, aside from a select few published online over the years.

Over the last two years, I moved a refined selection into a collection to submit to publications and contests. Longshots at best, with no luck. However, that brings us to why we are here today.

Purchase a chapbook today

What is a chapbook, you may or may not be wondering. A chapbook is a small booklet, usually comprised of poetry or short stories. The history of the chapbook dates back to the 16th century, where literary publications where sold by peddlers known as chapman.

Part of the earlier submission process was creating a chapbook. So, to take advantage of what I already had, I decided I wanted to share this poetry collection with the world. Sixteen poems, all less than a page long. All are from different eras of my life, stretching back to my late teens, with the most recent among the bunch written in 2024.

This collection, titled Whispers from Dreamland, can be all yours for the suggested price of five to ten dollars. (Five is more than fine but if you want to toss in a couple more for shipping, much appreciated).

The (possible) bad news is that for the time being, I am only accepting these "donations" through Venmo ( jason-haskins-1 ) or PayPal (Jason Haskins OR search: hasko_y2j@hotmail.com ). I chose this route mostly because other platforms took a fee. But if these pay options are not available to you (or you want a direct link to either) and would still like to purchase, feel free to reach out and we can find a way to get you a copy.

Once a purchase is made, I will contact you to find out your address to mail your cop or, if close by, an opportunity to deliver in person if desired.
